Chris Lintott is co-presenter of the BBC’s long-running monthly ‘Sky at Night’ programme, and co-author (with the late Sir Patrick Moore and Queen guitarist Brian May) of Bang! (2006) and The Cosmic Tourist (2012) (both longlisted for the Royal Society Winton Prize for Science Books and published in many languages). His work on the ‘Zooniverse’ has attracted a lot of media attention from, among others, the Guardian, Economist and New York Times. Lintott is attached to the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford. He is also a visiting researcher at Adler Planetarium in Chicago, giving frequent talks at places such as TEDxCERN and the Perimeter Institute in Canada.
In 2013 he was awarded the Internet and Society Award by the Oxford Internet Institute, in recognition of his exemplary effort to use the Internet for the public good.
