Xiaolu Guo on the Not the Booker Long List

29th July 2014

The Guardian has released a list of books selected for the Not the Booker Prize, and amongst this long list is I am China (Chatto & Windus) by Xiaolu Guo. This wise (and very funny) portrayal of multicultural society tells the story of two young lovers who have been torn apart, and of a translator working through their letters in an attempt to untangle their tale.

To ensure that I am China is one of the six books put through to the next round all you have to do is nominate two books from two different publishers and accompany your votes with a review (around 100 words) in the comments section.

The deadline is midnight 3rd August.
