We’re thrilled to see THE MERCIES by Kiran Millwood Hargrave longlisted for the Jhalak Prize 2021. The prize seeks to celebrate a diverse range of books by British/British resident BAME authors. The shortlist will be announced 13th April.

Copies of FOOTBALL SCHOOL: 20 FANTASTIC FOOTBALL STORIES Distributed on World Book Day

3rd March 2021

Nearly 25,000 copies of Football School: 20 Fantastic Football Stories will be distributed by The National Literacy Trust and the Premier League. Children taking part in the Premier League Primary Stars education programme will each receive a free copy of the title by Alex Bellos and Ben Lyttleton. Football School: 20 Fantastic Football Stories is also part of World Book Day’s 2021 £1 books.

SLOW RISE: A BREAD-MAKING ADVENTURE is BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week

Robert Penn’s SLOW RISE is book of the week on BBC Radio 4 from the 1st-5th March. Adrian Scarborough will read Robert’s account of how, over the course of a year, he learns to plant, harvest, thresh and mill his own wheat, in order to bake bread for his family.
