Dr Caroline Dodds Pennock

Dr Caroline Dodds Pennock is Senior Lecturer in International History at the University of Sheffield, and is the UK’s only Aztec historian. Her academic study of Aztec human sacrifice, Bonds of Blood (Palgrave Macmillan) won the Royal Historical Society’s Gladstone Prize in 2008. She has appeared on history series on the BBC, Netflix and other channels, and has written for BBC History Magazine, History Today, and Scientific American. She has also been a guest on In Our Time on Radio 4 and on the You’re Dead to Me podcast.
