Lipika Pelham

Lipika Pelham was born and grew up on the border of two Bengals, where her childhood was informed by the political divisions between Bengal and India. In her early twenties she joined the BBC World Service in London where she worked for ten years (reporting from the Indian Sub-Continent and South East Asia, as well as the Middle East) before moving to Jerusalem in August 2005 with her family.

Initially, Lipika reported for the BBC from Jerusalem, but she then became an award-winning documentary filmmaker. She now divides her time between London and Jerusalem.
