Miriam Quick

Miriam Quick is a UK-based journalist who explores novel ways of communicating data using words, images, sculpture and sound. After completing a PhD in Music at King’s College London, she began writing data stories and working as a researcher for publications including the BBC, the New York Times and Information is Beautiful.

She has co-created many data artworks, which have been exhibited at the Wellcome Collection, National Maritime Museum, Southbank Centre and Royal College of Physicians (London) and internationally. Oddityviz, her award-winning project with designer Valentina D’Efilippo, visualises David Bowie’s song Space Oddity on 12-inch records.
