Two Janklow UK Authors Shortlisted for SoA Awards 2021

We’re delighted to see two of our brilliant authors, Kiran Millwood Hargrave and Kathy O’Shaughnessy shortlisted in this year’s The Society Of Author’s Awards.

THE MERCIES by Kiran Millwood Hargrave is shortlisted for the The Betty Trask Prize and Awards which awards authors under 35 for a first novel. Kathy O’Shaughnessy’s IN LOVE WITH GEORGE ELIOT is shortlisted for the Paul Torday Memorial Prize which is presented for first novels by authors over 60.

Three Janklow UK Authors Longlisted for CWA Daggers

21st April 2021

We’re delighted to have three of our immensely talented authors longlisted for this year’s CWA Daggers. Elly Griffith’s THE POSTSCRIPT MURDERS is nominated for the Gold Dagger Award for best crime novel. Andrew Harding is nominated for the ALCS Gold Dagger for Non-Fiction for THESE ARE NOT GENTLE PEOPLE. And last but not least, Charles Cumming’s BOX 88 is longlisted for the Ian Flemming Steel Dagger for best thrillers.

The shortlists will be announced on 9th May with the winners being revealed 1st July at a virtual Daggers live ceremony.

THE MERCIES Longlisted for the Jhalak Prize 2021

We’re thrilled to see THE MERCIES by Kiran Millwood Hargrave longlisted for the Jhalak Prize 2021. The prize seeks to celebrate a diverse range of books by British/British resident BAME authors. The shortlist will be announced 13th April.

Copies of FOOTBALL SCHOOL: 20 FANTASTIC FOOTBALL STORIES Distributed on World Book Day

3rd March 2021

Nearly 25,000 copies of Football School: 20 Fantastic Football Stories will be distributed by The National Literacy Trust and the Premier League. Children taking part in the Premier League Primary Stars education programme will each receive a free copy of the title by Alex Bellos and Ben Lyttleton. Football School: 20 Fantastic Football Stories is also part of World Book Day’s 2021 £1 books.

Alex Bellos and Ben Lyttleton to Support NLT Wheres Wally? Weekender

FOOTBALL SCHOOL authors, Alex Bellos and Ben Lyttleton, will be taking part in the National Literary Trust’s Where’s Wally? Weekender which will kick off on the 20th March.
