Congratulations to Stefanie Posavec and Miriam Quick for their shortlisted title I am a Book. I am a Portal to the Universe!

The award is for ‘educational writing that stimulates and enhances the learning experience’, and the six shortlisted books are aimed at readers aged 5-11 to help them explore topics such as inspirational disabled role models, climate change and difficult emotions. The winner will be announced on 7th December during a reception at the House of Commons.

The prize aims to promote literacy in young people and to inspire them to read about science. It also supports the writing of excellent, accessible STEM books for under-14s.
