Samuel Burr

Samuel Burr studied at Westminster Film School and is now a freelance TV executive. He worked as a producer on the BAFTA-nominated Secret Life of Four Year Olds and has devised programmes for the BBC and Channel 4 on subjects as wide-ranging as traditional rugmaking, endurance rally racing, and gender fluidity.

The first-ever documentary he produced inside a retirement village when he was eighteen-years-old inspired his debut novel and launched his career in television. Sam’s writing was shortlisted for Penguin’s WriteNow scheme and in 2021 he graduated from the Faber Academy. He volunteers for elderly charities in his spare time and lives in East London with his partner and cat.
